Twitter account is savagely exposing the white supremacists of Charlottesville

BTW

A Twitter outlaw is looking to round up all the white supremacists who marched this weekend—and make them pay for their worldview.

Following the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, which left 32-year-old paralegal Heather Heyer dead when an alleged white supremacist plowed a car through a peaceful protest on Saturday, Twitter account @YesYoureRacist is taking action. It’s asking the internet at-large to unmask those who participated in the demonstrations on behalf of online hate groups.

The account claims that it helped get one participant named Cole fired from his job. However the Twitter account’s methods are amoral to a fault—it has misidentified at least two alleged white supremacists, and an allegation that one of the “Unite the Right” march’s organizers met with Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) sparked a loud denial from the elected official.

It also tried to connect Rep. Tom Garrett (R-Va.) to one of the alleged marchers. While a photo of the two does seem legitimate, Garrett took to Fox News on Sunday and condemned the violence. He has not denied meeting with the alleged white supremacist, and NBC reports that he did. Garrett’s local and D.C. offices did not answer the phone, and his D.C. office’s voicemail is full.

The account also connected YouTube prankster and internet troll Joey Salads to the march. Salads in a YouTube video denies attending, saying that the photo of him in Nazi garb is an old one from a past prank.

NBC Wants To Revive ‘The Office’, ‘ER’ And ’30 Rock’ For Brand New Seasons

Our favourite television shows leave impressions on us that last far longer than their on air time span.

From playgrounds to office water-coolers, truly great TV creates moments that have ripples all over society, as fans endlessly re-live and quote their favourite moments to each other, basking in their shared enjoyment. Much store is set by such “water-cooler moments” in the entertainment industry; particularly in our modern culture where social media dictates popular opinion with an unprecedented speed, creating talked about television comes with heady rewards for those who get it right. Shows like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are excellent examples of this; programmes that have come to transcend merely being excellent pieces of television to become veritable cultural movements. To that end, television has become an even more intensely competitive industry than ever before. Due to the rise of streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime, more pressure than ever before is placed on show makers to create talked about, profitable television. Perhaps that is why channels are trending toward turning back to the past, to known commodities, proven successes, as they look to carve their place in the over-populated market. Certainly, NBC look to be following in that mould, after it was reported that the TV channel wanted to revive several extremely well known shows. The news comes after NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt revealed that he has “casually spoken to the creators of ‘West Wing’, ‘The Office’, ‘ER’ and ’30 Rock'” about the possiblity of bringing their television shows back for more. Speaking to Deadline, Greenblatt described his desire to bring The Office back thus; We often talk aboutThe Office, Ive talked to Greg four times over the past few years. Its always, maybe some day but not now. There is certainly an open invitation but we dont have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I would do it. Meanwhile, Greenblatt revealed a similar desire regarding Tina Fey’s immensely popular 30 Rock; Id say to Tina Hey, you think some more30 Rockmakes any sense? Shed say, I dont know maybe.” Deadline reports that NBC is currently working with The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin on a live production of A Few Good Men; Greenblatt appears to have been using the opportunity to moot the idea of a return to The West Wing; I keep saying to him, Do you want to doThe West Wingagain, wouldnt it be great to do it? He says, You know I love that show and some day Id love to revisit it, but its not going to happen right now.” Meanwhile, the network’s reboot of Will and Grace has already been renewed for a second season, and it is thought that a revival of Miami Vice is also in the offing. If any of the hit shows mentioned above are successfully picked up for a revival of their own, NBC will have created a water-cooler moment before an episode even airs.

Chelsea Clinton comes to Barron Trump’s defense after conservative criticism.

It's not often that the Tucker Carlson-founded Daily Caller criticizes President Trump, but that changed on Monday when the site went after his son.

No, not Eric. Not Don Jr., either. The Daily Caller had a bone to pick with Trump's youngest son, Barron.

Of all the things to raise the conservative outlet's hackles, it wasn't the president's coddling of white supremacists, his failure to enact any major pillars of policy, or his snap decision to ban an entire population group from the military — but rather the fact that his 11-year-old son wears T-shirts and shorts on summer vacation.

To that, I have to ask: Are we still f-ing doing this?

In this photo from June, Barron wears jeans and a T-shirt. You know, like regular kids wear. Photo by Chris Kleponis-Pool/Getty Images.

The article, "It’s High Time Barron Trump Starts Dressing Like He’s In the White House" by Ford Springer, lambasted the youngest Trump for looking "like he was hopping on Air Force One for a trip to the movie theater" in a photo of the family returning from a recent trip. (The article also refers to President Trump, he of the ill-fitting suits and cartoonishly long ties, as "dapper" — so maybe Springer isn't the best qualified person to write about fashion? Sigh.)

It was just a few months ago that we were all reminded that presidential children are off-limits.

When a "Saturday Night Live" writer made an insensitive joke about Barron Trump, the White House responded, news outlets (including the Daily Caller) covered it, and the writer was eventually suspended (again, covered in detail by the Daily Caller, so they definitely know that the whole "criticizing presidents' kids" is a big no-no, right?). So why would the Daily Caller criticize Barron, and why would they do it now? Maybe it's for the sake of consistency since they regularly targeted Sasha and Malia Obama?

Respecting the privacy of the president's children — especially those who are underage — isn't a new concept. Back in January, Chelsea Clinton stood up for Barron after he received a barrage of hate and criticism around the time of the inauguration, writing, "Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does — to be a kid."

In response to the Daily Caller article, the former first daughter again came to Barron's defense.

In conclusion, leave Barron alone. Seriously.

There's a lot to criticize about Donald Trump, but no matter how you feel about him, leave his 11-year-old kid out of it. Barron didn't choose what family to be born into, and he shouldn't have to meet some arbitrary standards set by a complete stranger in the media. Growing up is tough enough as it is without having the world watching your every move, so let's all agree to cut Barron some slack.
