Typically, if you come across a sea lion, you expect to be on a beach. Or at least, pretty close to one!
One sea lion decided to take a detour to the beach and took a pit stop in a parking lot, just to take a nap on a car.
In a video posted to Facebook by Melanie Sceva, you can see a group of people crowding around a car in the parking lot of a business.
Maybe the sea lion needed some assistance from the Nichols Brothers shipyard? Either that or the Honda civic he took a nap on is just a really comfy place to sleep!
After everyone got over the initial surprise of finding a sea lion in a parking lot, the police were called to help. They came and very cautiously roused the sleeping sea lion, knowing better than to get close to a creature with sharp teeth!
What would you have done if you were heading to your car and found a fuzzy sea lion just hanging out on top of it? I don’t think I can even imagine something like that!
If you’ve never seen anything like this before, it’s actually not too uncommon for a sea lion to try and go where they don’t belong. This one sea lion hopped onto a boat just to say hello!
