Recipe #1 - Chickpea & Vegetable mash
Ingredients:
1/2 cup - Chickpeas ( soaked overnight or canned )
1/3 cup - Sweet Potato ( peeled & chopped)
1/4 cup - cauliflower ( chopped )
1 cup - water
turmeric powder - a pinch
garlic - a tiny piece ( chopped )
Recipe #2 - Fish & Vegetable rice
Ingredients:
1/4 cup - carrot (chopped)
1/4 cup - potato (chopped)
1/4 cup - tomato (chopped)
1 Tbsp - rice ( washed )
3/4 cup - water
50 gms - fish fillet (any white fish) (chopped)
1 tsp - Oil
1/8 tsp - salt ( 2 pinches )
Spice powders: (turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp, pepper powder - 1/4 tsp,
3/4 tsp - coriander powder )
Recipe #3 - Soupy Bean & Barley
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp - barley ( washed )
1/2 cup - tomato ( chopped )
1/2 cup - brinjal ( chopped )
1/2 cup - pinto beans ( or rajma or kidney beans ) (soaked)
1/2 cup - water
garlic - 1 small piece
salt - pinch
Spice powders : ( turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp,
cumin powder - 1 pinch, coriander powder - 1/2 tsp)
Recipe #4 - Carrot & Bean Couscous
Ingredients:
1/4 cup - carrot ( finely chopped )
1/4 cup - green beans ( finely chopped )
1 Tbsp - onion ( finely chopped )
1/2 cup - tomato ( finely chopped)
1 tsp - oil
1/4 cup - Couscous ( or coarse semolina / rava )
1 tsp - coriander leaves or parsley (chopped)
salt - a pinch
3/4 cup - water
Spice powders : ( turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp,
coriander powder - 1/4 tsp, pepper - 1/8 tsp)
Recipe #5 - Spinach Chicken & Cracked Wheat
Ingredients:
80 gms ( or 1/2 cup ) - boneless Chicken ( chopped )
1 Tbsp - Onion ( chopped )
1 tsp - daal ( split yellow lentil)
1 tsp - french green lentil ( or red lentil / masoor daal )
1/2 cup - spinach ( chopped )
1 tsp - oil
1/4 cup - tomato ( chopped )
1/8 tsp - salt ( 2 pinches )
1 Tbsp - cracked wheat ( dalia / bulgar ) ( or use semolina/rava)
1/2 cup - water
Spice powders : ( turmeric powder -1/4 tsp, pepper powder - 1/8 tsp
coriander powder - 1/2 tsp, cumin powder - 1/4 tsp )
Recipe #6 - Simple Baby Pasta
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp - soup pasta ( tiny pasta / baby pasta)
1 Tomato - pureed/blended
1 tsp - tomato sauce / ketchup
salt - a pinch
1/8 tsp - pepper ( 2 pinches )
1 Tbsp - parmesan cheese ( optional )
3 Cups - Water ( to boil pasta )
Recipe #7 - Cracked Wheat & Bean Puree
Ingredients:
1 tsp - Oil
1/4 tsp - garlic ( chopped )
1 Tbsp - onion (chopped)
1/2 cup - tomato ( chopped )
1/4 cup - pinto beans ( or rajma or kidney beans ) ( soaked )
3/4 cup - water
1 tsp - coriander leaves ( or parsley leaves )
salt - 2 pinches
Spice powders : ( turmeric powder - 1 pinch, cumin powder - 1/4 tsp,
chilli powder - 1 pinch, coriander powder - 1/2 tsp )
To cook the cracked wheat:
1/4 cup - cracked wheat ( bulgar / dalia / fada / samba rava)
3/4 cup - water
Recipe #8 - Chicken & Vegetable Rice meal
Ingredients:
1/2 tbsp - rice
2 tbsp - red lentil ( masoor daal )
oil - 1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp - ginger ( finely chopped)
1 tbsp - Onion ( finely chopped)
1/2 cup - boneless chicken breast (finely chopped)
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
2 pinches - salt
1 cup Vegetable shreds ( I used carrot, cauliflower & potato)
1 tsp - chopped coriander leaves ( or parsley)
1 Cup - water
